According to Ashley Kohler, Director of Wellness at Destination Kohler, a renowned five-star retreat in Green Bay, Wisconsin, pickleball is swiftly ascending as a prime guest activity, with a remarkable 700% surge in engagement on their courts.

Last year, almost 1 in 9 Americans (that's around 36.5 million pickle enthusiasts) gave this sport a spin, and a whopping 45% intend to participate more frequently in the coming months. So, what's got luxury retreats like Club Med and Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman all ears?

Turns out, it's pickleball's irresistible allure as a vacation game-changer. Folks are actually planning their getaways based on where they can play pickleball! Meaghan Clawsie from Elated Escapes Travel LLC says, “I've had clients come to me wanting me to book their vacations, but they tell me to limit the resorts I quote to ones with pickleball. They literally won't stay at a property that does not offer pickleball!”

Basically, pickleball isn't just acing the game; it's acing the hotel bookings game. Quite the match point, right?

1- The APP partners with India's Global Sports for the 2023 Monsoon Pickleball Championship, held in Mumbai from August 24-27. This collaboration highlights APP's global pickleball growth efforts, with the event being the third international tournament powered by APP this year, following partnerships in Europe with Pickleball England and Pickleball Sweden.

2- Dave Bolland, a former Florida Panthers forward and Stanley Cup Champion, joins the PBX Pro ranks alongside Patrick Sharp, Kris Draper, and Fredrik Modin. Notably, Jarmo Kekalainen, the current General Manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL, is also joining the PBX Pro group.
